Repose Fashion Collection

A well-made t-shirt is always a wardrobe staple, which is why I love to play with different shapes and styles. I was recently introduced to new streetwear brand Repose who were founded in Shibuya Tokyo in 2020. Repose Japan present beautiful designs inspired to challenge the fashion landscape. I am wearing here men’s t-shirts from Repose Japan because I love the relaxed and oversized fit they provide on a women’s figure and also the streetwear vibe that they bring.

First up the REPOSE ANGLE 3M TEE provides an oversized fit and features a reflective Angle of Repose logo to the front and back of the t-shirt. Made from 100% premium cotton using 280gm of cotton this t-shirt is a fantastic new addition to the Repose Fashion Collection.

My personal favourite is the REPOSE YELLOW COLOR LOGO TEE which features a yellow colour logo to the back, again made from 100% premium cotton, this time with 260 gm of cotton providing an oversized fit. This design features the minimal Repose Japan Logo, which is probably why it could be my favourite as we all know I am a fan of minimal styles.

To celebrate these beautifully crafted t-shirts I wanted to share a few of my favourite styling tips for wearing a black t-shirt…

  • Wear with all black; there is nothing chicer than a head to toe black outfit, it will also elongate your body too and looks effortlessly cool. If you hadn’t guessed it is my favourite colour palette!
  • Wear your black t-shirt with high waisted jeans for the ultimate casual outfit. Higher fitting jeans will also show off your waist and enhance your figure.
  • Play around with ways you wear your t-shirt. For example, you can tuck half in and half out, you can tie in a knot or you can tuck underneath your bra. For more ideas of ways to wear a basic t-shirt watch my styling tips video here.
  • In autumn and winter layer a fitted polo neck under your t-shirt so you can show off any design on your black t-shirt in colder weather. This would be a great styling trick to let the logos show through on the Repose t-shirt collection.
  • Black t-shirts aren’t just for the daytime and casual looks. I like to style my t-shirts with evening looks and is a great way to dress down a smart look such as worn with a suit and a pair of heels!

There is plenty of choice on the Repose website and an array of colours too. Both tops I have kindly been sent to review feature super soft material and I have machine washed them with the logos still staying intact. James has even bagged the reflective logo tee for himself; one of the perks of me wearing menswear!
