The latest room in the house that we have been decorating is our living room! After being in our new build for two years nearly, we wanted to start adding some colour and character to the rooms. I will be sharing a room tour on my IGTV once completed, but thought I would share a sneak peek with you here! So far we have gotten rid of our old sofa, painted the walls Farrow and Ball Railings and finally popped out television on the wall! The main changes so far in our living room have been that we added panelling to the wall with a dado rail to add some dimension to the longest wall in the room. We had toyed with the idea of using a plasterer with ornate skills so that we could get bespoke mouldings made for the living room; I would actually love to get a ceiling rose so I will look into this further!
One place I have found to be a godsend for adding a touch of character to the room is Homesense! Which is where the vase and trinkets on top of our oak furniture tv stand is from. The pampas grass was from a pop up in Manchester Selfridges as for some reason I struggled to find reasonably priced pampas grass online! I have also spotted a white rug in there that I am super tempted to buy! We have also recently received our new sofa, which I need to get some new cushions for. Then to complete the room we need to find some side tables – I am thinking a next of tables? And also we need to get some art work or style of prints on the wall and a new ceiling light to be fitted. Once this is all done I will be sharing the grand reveal and where everything in the room is from.. Until then 🙂
