Gratitude: Improving my mood + motivation

As I’m travelling down to London on the train I thought I would jot down a few thoughts I have been having lately: feelings of gratitude. I’m sure a few of you might have heard about a book called ‘The Secret’ and how it will transform your life. I have the audio book version and although it hasn’t done everything it claims to for myself, a lot of the points resonate with me for having a daily positive outlook on life. After a rather blue January one activity that has been uplifting my spirits is writing a daily gratitude diary. By this I mean 3-5 points on what I am grateful for that day. This can be anything from having an amazing support network to cuddles with Brody or a new brand collaboration. Being thankful for what you already have and seeing the little victories in everyday life has had a positive impact on my motivation and mood. Every Friday I also jot down accomplishments that I have achieved that week from something as small as making the bed everyday to big life hurdles. In all honesty, by nature I am more of a half glass empty kind of person so by practicing thoughts of gratitude it really does help me to have a more positive mindset!
