Typically I am a jeans and a nice top kind of gal. There is a part of me that has never quite felt ‘girly’ enough to wear a gorgeous floaty summer dress. This year I am pushing myself out of my comfort zone to experiemtn with some maxi and midi style summer dresses. I love the look of a long dress with chunky sandals, thanks to the gorgeous Monikh. There is something effortlessly chic about this pairing and I just need to get over my stage fright of going out into the public with a dress down to my ankles.
With that being said, the dresses that I recently picked out for my ‘6 Summer Dresses for a Heatwave’ video are all so ridiculously comfy, breathable and perfect for this hot flush of weather we are currently receiving and would be great for packing into your holiday suitcase too.

My favourite of them all has to be this maxi dress, which can you believe it is from Missguided! It is from their premium range so it is a little bit more pricey for them at around £45 (currently has 20% off when posting this) but the material, quality and fit is really good. The only downside is that the doule lining is only from under the bust to under your bum, so you have to wear a bra (which you can see) unless you want to #freethenipple.
Taking inspiration from Monikh I styled mine with my nartilla sandals from Dr. Marten and would also style with my Teva midform platforms too. To complete the look is this Topshop Chloe bag ringer that I picked up for under £40. A simple monochrome outfit that looks high end and super fashionable.
