Looking back over the years and some embarrassing orange faced photos from high-school, I wish that some one had told me the importance of having a consultation with a beauty counter to select the best foundation shade for your skin tone.
If only I had heard these wise words sooner.
Before Christmas, I decided I would treat myself to my first full coverage, high-end foundation. Previously I had been using Rimmel, Maybelline or whatever was on offer in the cosmetics aisle. I had my skin colour matched and was given Estee Lauder’s 2N1 Dessert Beige, which I couldn’t be happier with.
So, when Debenhams contacted me to see if I would like to review an Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation, I couldn’t say no to topping up my new favourite foundation, as I had been ‘scraping the barrel’ of my first bottle.
ESTEE LAUDER DOUBLE WEAR FOUNDATION
You may be surprised to know that in my lifetime – a full 29 years that is – that I have only ever purchased one “high-end” foundation. And you are looking at it!
The reasons I love Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation, include:
1 It offers a FULL coverage, which is great for covering and spots and imperfections.
2 It has SPF10 in it for skin protection.
3 There is a huge range of colours from light to dark and warm to cool skin tones
4 The bottle design is classic and eye catching
5 You only need to use a little bit of product, so a £30 30ml bottle lasted me around 4 months (from weekend and special occasion use)
6 They also have Double Wear concealer and powder to match your perfect shade
Fab review lovely ! This has always been my number one full coverage foundation! It just goes on so beautifully !! And it lasts all day too!!
