MEHRON: The Make-up Secret To Kylie Jenner’s Flawless Base

It has been said that Kylie Jenner’s make-up artist loves using the Celebré PRO-HD foundation (alongside Kim Kardashian) from theatre make-up providers Mehron. Intrigued as to how ‘flawless’ the finish of their products are, I was keen to test out some out in preparation for my wedding day makeup.

With getting married abroad, I want to find myself a flawless base that will stay in place all day. Also, a product that allows for colours to be mixed to find the perfect shade, as well as contouring and highlighting. This is because my tan will get darker whilst sunbathing before the wedding, so I don’t know exactly what shade I’ll need!

I was kindly sent the below items from Mehron UK to test:

I think the finish is flawless, so I can see why their Celebré PRO-HD is a hit with the Kardashian’s make-up artists. Which is why I will be rushing now to find the shade I need online.

Velvet Finish Primer Serum £18.28

Starting with the Velvet Finish Primer, this product has a nice and thick consistency, with a very smooth – almost ‘gliding’ – feeling when applying to the skin. Rather than being greasy, this product seemed to soak into my skin, leaving a matte finish whilst applying my foundation.

I also found that I didn’t need as much foundation on my brush, as the product went further and that this did not leave my skin with a ‘sweaty’ looking shine, as some previous primers I have used seem to do.

Pro-HD Foundation Contour & H/Lite Palette (12 shades)

Despite the hefty price tag, which may at first put you off. I can honestly. Hands down. Tell you that this is THE BEST foundation and concealer product that I have tried. Although it may be tempting to only spend £5 on a similar palette on eBay or Amazon. There is a one million percent difference between the quality, finish and lasting power / look on your skin.

I used the palette for a concealing / highlight / contour method for beginners (which you will see if you watch the video). This blended in seamlessly on top of my Estee Lauder double wear foundation. I went to blend with my beauty blender and the product had already began to sink into my skin without leaving hard lines. So once it was blended I felt as if my base was as flawless as it has ever been.

What is even more great about this palette, is that as I will be getting married abroad and my tan will change, I will be able to mix the colours to find the perfect shade to match my skin! If you are also a first time user to the product, it would be a great way to find out what colour HD foundation would be best for you.

Eye & Cheek Combo Powder Palette (8 colours)

I used this palette on my eyes and then one of the brown shades for a powder bronze / contour over my base. I love the neutral shades in this set and am intrigued to test out the pinks. From starting to wear this product at 9am and lasting until bedtime. I was really impressed with this product’s staying power and that I didn’t get any horrible creases on my eyelids. As I often tend to find that eye shadow products can sometimes seem to melt away throughout the day.

Mehron Barrier Spray

OH. MY. GOD. I may have discovered a product that is (dare I say it) better than Urban Decay’s makeup setting spray! Whether it is this product, or the fact that all the other products have great staying power, but my makeup (I kid you not) lasted from 9am until 12am the next day for filming, cooking lunch, walking in the wind and rain and having a meal / drinks out.

I did however, find the barrier spray to be quite fast / intense when coming out of the spritzer on the bottle. So I think that I need to try and practice my spritzing action. But without a shadow of a doubt, this will be replacing the Urban Decay setting spray in my drawer.

Mehron Make-up Gets a BIG Thumbs Up From Me!

After trying out a few of Mehron’s products, I can see why it is such a huge hit for creating a flawless base with the Kardashian’s make-up artists. So, if like me, you like to have a full coverage foundation that has some serious staying power, I would definitely recommend trying Mehron in your routine.
