How To Reinvent Your Blogging (or work) Schedule

The HP Spectre X360 review
If like me, you often struggle to find inspiration from the confines of your white bed sheets. This weekend, why don’t you take the challenge to reinvent your blogging or working method and get out of the house (as too often I can find myself sat blogging in bed, from morning to night).

What you don’t usually get to see behind the outfit shoots, is what else I get up to on a weekend. Which includes spending the day with my two favourite people (James & Brody, of course) – and getting outside for some fresh air. So I thought I would keep reinventing how I balance my blogging and personal life to do them at the same time!

So, when I was asked by HP if I would like to test out the capabilities of the Spectre x 360 laptop, I instantly knew that I was game to take on the 12 hour Spectre challenge. Armed with my new tech companion I set out to  visit my favourite haunts  in my home town of Macclesfield, whilst documenting how well this stylish piece of premium kit, worked for a day of blogging on the go.

1.

An Inspiring Morning Dog Walk

One of our favourite places to take Brody for a walk is at South Park in Macclesfield. Walking into this pleasant park, you instantly feel like you are somewhere else. We also love how busy this park always is, seeing other people – friends / families / pets / children – running around, smiling, and having fun.

IMG_4220Brody especially goes crazy for doing lap runs across the open grass – and boy is he fast – alongside a whole load of sniffing before collapsing at home in front of the fire. Doing his favourite past time: sleeping!

I find getting out in the fresh air to be inspiring. I can also confess that I am a bit of an avid ‘people watcher’, finding other people having fun uplifting and motivating. Nothing screams ‘clear mind’ to me more than when I am out in the open, so it was nice to reinvent my Saturday morning to take a breather in my beautiful surroundings (outside of my office) to get down some notes. The HP x 360 is the perfect size and weight for carrying in my tote, so I took a few minutes to jot down notes for my weekend ‘to do’ list and also some blog post and video ideas for my YouTube channel.

2.

Coffee, Cake & Catch Ups

Following on from our morning walk, we strolled straight into Macclesfield town centre, to pick up some bits from the shops. Stopping first for a much needed coffee and some cake to refuel on the way.

IMG_4232As Plums Kitchen was full (a great dog friendly cafe / bistro), we found ourselves a free table outside of Amuse Cafe on Chestergate. With the weather being a lot warmer than of late, we were lucky enough to continue to enjoy the fresh air without being too cold.

Enjoying my large latte, I opened up my inbox to do a bit of catching up with my emails. The fact that you can fold the Spectre x 360laptop over is a great feature, meaning that it takes up less room on the table using it this way. Plus, you can also stand it up, which is great if you are watching something and for travelling. What I love about this machine is it’s touch screen capabilities, doubling it up as a laptop and a tablet: how nifty is that!

Editing & Naughty Afternoon Treats

On the way home from town, we stopped at one of my favourite haunts in Macclesfield: Granellis.

IMG_4276Selling traditional Italian ice cream since 1890, they really do trump anything from Ben and Jerrys! Having a HUGE sweet tooth, if I could live off one food it would have to be ice cream. And with a number of inventive and fun flavours to try, I really can’t get enough of their delicious ice cream.

Whilst stocking up on some tubs for our freezer, I also had to have a cheeky small scoop (I am meant to be on my wedding diet after all!) and to keep reinventing my usual routine I opted for raspberry ripple instead of my beloved chocolate. They have a lovely seating area available outside, so taking advantage of the weather, and the fact it was rather quiet. I sat in tranquility and the enjoyment of my ice cream to edit a couple of outfit shots and have a run through my new blog design (which you can now view my latest videos and outfit posts from my new interactive homepage).

My Thoughts On The HP Spectre X 360

The HP x360 convertible laptop lasted on a good run around Macclesfield in sleep mode and being used throughout the day. I came with around half of the battery left, which is pretty good going. The sleek design is modern, minimal and also comes with a handy laptop neoprene sleeve for free.

Perhaps, what is the best thing about the Spectre x360 is suggested in the name. The fact it has 360 degree capabilities and doubles up as a tablet. Being able to switch from traditional laptop mode to a touchscreen function, is a great advantage both when working at home, on the go, or travelling.

So, if you are looking for a new laptop, with a number of fantastic and fun qualities alongside good battery life, the HP Spectre x360 is one well worth considering in my books.

This sounds like a great piece of kit, I’d love to take my laptop on the go! I have a HP envy but it’s just too big and heavy to take out with me!
