Love Yourself with the White Stuff

Valentines Day doesn’t have to be champagne, roses and mushy couples

Whether you’re single, taken or simply not interested. February the 14th is the perfect time to show yourself some love. This could be anything from treating yourself to a little gift, pamper session, or  by purchasing new clothes to show your favourite assets some love.

Personally, I am not one for over the top romantic gestures. Or the competition of ‘who can spend the most to show how much I love you’, that is often thrown around on Valentines Day. Instead, James and I prefer to write each other a heart felt card and spend the evening in with some good food and a bottle or red and / or  prosecco.

As Valentines Day falls on a Sunday this year, which is James’s ritual day for morning Golf and an evening of American Football with the boys. I will be spending my Valentines Day ‘loving myself’ (in a non rude pun way, of course!)

One of my favourite things to do on a Sunday, is to be selfish and take some “me-time”, away from my blogging, friend, family and work schedule. Where I simply lock myself in the bathroom and run a hot bath, gather a pile of pampering products and accompany this with a rather large glass of wine (or two)!

Here I will probably rest for a good two hours, either by popping on some relaxing music via Spotify through my Sonos speakers. Watching Netflix, or catching up on the latest videos from my go to Youtubers (if you are not already, you can subscribe to my channel here) whilst soaking in the tub. #cheekyplug
