For those of you harboring a love of a minimal and clean aesthetic, I have put together my five Scandinavian style tips for those of you who want to know how to dress like the Swedish. Effortless and chic, I have styled my outfit above using these five Scandinavian dressing secrets.
“Scandinavian style is minimal, clean and always on point.”
Chelsea Boots Are Essential
Adding a slight rock and roll vibe to my outfit are these beautiful Miami leather Chelsea boots from Ravel’s new Autumn / Winter footwear collection, which are versatile enough to pair with anything and look fabulous!
The Cream Sweater Staple
To add a Scandinavian vibe to your knitwear this season, make sure you go for a fine cream knit. Here I am wearing a luxuriously soft cream thin knit from Ark, which is only £22 and my style hero for the season.
Worn In Denim
The Swedish love to add some worn denim into their outfits. I would suggest going for lighter washes and the more rips the merrier. Here I am wearing a relaxed pair of Mom jeans from Native Youth, who are a Manchester based brand with a modern / minimal aesthetic that is perfect for adopting a Scandinavian vibe to your styling.
An Over-sized Trench
To perfect Swedish layering you will want to have an over-sized trench coat for slinging on over any outfit. One tip I would say when going for an over-sized trench is to go for thin and floaty material, such as the Native Youth lightweight trench I am wearing in this post.
Add Some Glasses
My last Scandinavian style tip is to add some glasses. Whether these are sunglasses or opticals, the Swedish know how to rock a frame and often wear fashion forward or quirky eye wear. For me, it is all about the ‘geeky’ frame at the moment, so I am wearing a black large frame called Highgate from London Retro’s eye-wear range at Glasses Direct, available here.
Do you love Swedish style? I would love to know if you found these tips helpful or if you have and Scandinavian style tips you can add in the comments section. I have also linked below items for you to recreate this look.

Thanks gorgeous! I can’t make it now π My sister is up from London for the weekend and she isn’t up at Christmas this year so is my last chance to see her in 2015! Have a fab time though, wish I was coming! xx
I think I unknowingly love Swedish style, all of these tips are pretty much the rules I live by with my own personal style anyway (minus the glasses).
