Ox Pasture Hall: A Dog Friendly Hotel Review

Ox Pasture Hall Dog Friendly Hotel Review

Over my birthday weekend, to console my distress of turning twenty-eight (yes you read that right) James and I headed over to Yorkshire for a relaxing weekend stay courtesy of the fabulouse team at Ox Pasture Hall. What was even more amazing about this short trip is that Brody, our rescued Lurcher cross Wolf-Hound could come with us! So if you are interested in hearing all about our stay and a dog friendly hotel, please continue reading…

Afternoon Tea

Upon arrival we checked in to our luscious suite before heading for a spot of afternoon tea in the lounge with Brody, where time passed us by for a couple of hours. We sat still for once without looking at a computer screen or TV and had Brody by our side lounging by the fire as we tucked into the likes of cucumber sandwiches, mini cakes and some of THE BEST scones that I have ever tasted with Jam and clotted cream, which were just divine!

Our Dog Friendly Suite

Our suite was like a home from home. You know, one of those hotel stays where you feel like you have escaped to a house in the country and taken your home comforts with you. We both felt totally relaxed perched on the sofa infront of the TV, admittedly watching Saturday Night Takeaway before we headed down to the lounge / Bistro area for some uber posh and monumental food.

I have to say as well as being impressed with the room and how comfortable the King Size Bed was and the gorgeous bathroom with a super large bath tub and walk in shower. The food was probably the biggest highlight our of stay as we thought the Afternoon Tea was amazing and that was before trying the monumental tasty culinary food for dinner, which we of course washed down with some equally divine bubbles!

In the morning we finished off our stay with a hearty breakfast and a stroll around the grounds with Brody, who absolutely seemed to have the time of his life, the little cutie!

So, if you are thinking of having a dog friendly hotel stay in the country side – or a relaxing country getaway without a pet pooch – I can probably speak for James as well here to say that we both would most definitely recommend a stay at Ox Pasture Hall Hotel and we can’t thank the staff and helpful team enough for having us. What a great birthday weekend!
